Should I Get A Wedding Video?

In short…yes! Without doubt.

Last week, my four year old daughter was looking at one of our wedding photographs, proudly framed and sitting on the bookshelf. A reminder of the immensely fun day we had.

She turns around and asks “Daddy, what was your wedding like?”

We sat together and watched our (unbelievably epic) wedding film. She was engrossed. She saw people she knows dancing, she saw people she knows that have since passed. She was confused when she saw tears (the happy kind, I assured her) and she laughed hysterically at the confetti. It was beautiful.

Our wedding film isn’t something we watch often like a rerun of The Office. But knowing it’s there for shared moments like this, to remember the fun and the share the fun with people who weren’t there, is invaluable to me.

One day we won’t be around. But she’ll have our silly dancing, happy singing, bad ceilidhing, love declaring images to keep those happy memories fresh.

So I say, don’t get a wedding for you. You probably won’t watch it every month or even every year. But one day your smiles, your voices and your laughs will be more treasured than you probably realise.

Very importantly. This is not a sales pitch. I’m not making your wedding film. But here are some people who will do an incredible job for you. As a wee bonus, they’ll also be lots of fun to be around on your wedding day.
