Portencross Castle Wedding
The first ‘proper’ camera I used, was my papa’s inherited 35mm Olympus, saved from the loft of my mum’s house, back when this wasn’t even yet a hobby. The first photos I took with that camera were at Portencross Castle. I grew up 10 minutes down the Ayrshire Coast and this was a favourite spot for me and my photo loving pals to go and catch the awesome views of Arran, as well as all the boats and anything else thrown up by the Firth of Clyde.
Earlier this year I had the huge pleasure of heading back here to document a wedding in the castle. Back when I first visited, the castle wasn’t even open to the public, let alone in a condition to hold a wedding. It’s beautiful now, such a lovely, intimate space. And obviously the location is pretty spectacular.
Thanks to Lauren & Shaun for inviting me along to capture their day for them ❤️
