Ayrshire Coast Wedding

Oh it’s nice to go home isn’t it?

My childhood was spent with a bedroom view over those gorgeous Arran hills. Not that I appreciated it at the time of course, wee punk. But it’s like a big relaxing exhale to step down onto the west coast beach with a view like this.

Jessica & Fraser had their wedding at Lochgreen House Hotel in Troon. A wee bit further down the coast from Sunny Saltcoats, and a wee bit prettier. Especially when they pulled in their unreal wedding day sunset.

When we’re this close to the coast, I’m always weather watching and light stalking. It was a gorgeous day for their wedding back in April and it was promising a pretty epic sunset.

Jess was a bridesmaid at a wedding I photographed a few years ago (hey Rachel & Jim!) so she knew I’d be all in on the after dinner photos. She was super chilled about going for a wander down to the beach and getting a little sand on her dress. Worth it for the photos, I think!
