An After Dark Winter Wedding in Glasgow
When I first spoke to Alison & Steven, they told me that they had been told by other photographers that having a night time wedding would compromise their photographs. That, in my head, was such a narrow minded point of view. Of course, their photographs won't look like most other wedding photographs, but that's a good thing surely?! Anyway, what isn't a night-time wedding, in Glasgow, in November? A 6pm service at the Glasgow University Chapel meant that we weren't going to have much light to work with. But that just means you need to get a bit creative.
We got some really cool stuff in the Cloisters and around Royal Exchange Square before they headed into 29 Private Members Club for their reception. The city is an amazing place to photograph at night. Although it's not 'natural' there's light to be found everywhere.
So, never let anybody tell you that you're not doing what you're supposed to be doing when planning your wedding. Do it your way and have fun like these guys did.
Huge thanks to the fantastic Fiona Higgins Photography for 2nd shooting this one with me.
